Midrasha

Midrasha is Temple Beth Avodah's middle & high school program (grades 6-12) that offers a variety of opportunities for teens at TBA.  Individuals can choose their own path to Jewish involvement from educational classes, cultural &arts groups, leadership tracks, social events, community service, and other offerings. 
GRADE BASED REQUIREMENT

Midrasha Classes - The primary time of Midrasha is Mondays from 6:30-8:45 which includes dinner, grade based classes, and elective classes.  All students participate in grade based classes.
  • Grade 8 Holocaust class and trip to Washington, D.C.
  • Grade 9 Partnership with the Alliance School in Haifa.
  • Grade 10 comparative beliefs class and trip to New York City.
  • Grade 11 Ethics seminar
  • Grade 12 Senior Seminar with Rabbi Stern

ELECTIVE REQUIREMENT

Students can attain elective credits through any of the following:
  • Monday evening classes
  • BAYGL - Youth Group
  • MidraShir - Teen Choir
  • Madrichim - Teaching Assistants
  • Songleader Initiative 
  • Independent projects
